Pinyon Ridge Observatory, founded in 2024 by Dr. Michael Newberry, is a private facility dedicated to advancing astronomical knowledge through research and education. Situated in the southwestern United States at an altitude of 2,300 meters (7,600 feet), it boasts an exceptionally dark, unpolluted sky less than 1% brighter than the benchmark Chilean location, Cerro Paranal. The site is in the process of development.
